Jessica Swartz, PT, DPT was awarded a Promotion of Doctoral Studies scholarship from the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research. Swartz is the recipient of the Pelvic Health Award. Her project “Physical Therapy for Postpartum Healing and Health Equity” is supported through the Academy of Pelvic Health Fund made possible through the support of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Academy of Pelvic Health. Dr. Swartz is a graduate of the SDSU DPT Program, is an Associated Faculty in the DPT Program, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Public Health (Health Behavior), mentored by SDSU DPT core faculty member, Dr. Lori Tuttle.
